Destination: The Alps

After Japan we were checking out the weather maps and forecasts and it seemed that the only place it was snowing constantly was Japan. But the Alps in Europe have been having a record year in some areas which is long hoped for after several bad ones. We could not pass on a great Alps powder, since it is the best and the most diverse muontain range there is. Even though it has not snowed in a while you can always find some aspects that have great snow and it has been really cold so there should be some great stable snow left for us too.

We booked tickets to Munich and decided to roll the dice where to go from there. We headed out to Switzerland to meet some friends and check out the snow in Laax. It tourned out to be still good only by traversing within the resort and we got some good tree runs right on the first day with sun! Europe, is good to be back!

Here’s a video of some forest pow. A mountain goat was riding pow with us! We are not trying to scare the animals of the mountains, it’s not cool but I think he was digging snowboarding.
