The beach is the perfect place to play all kinds of sports, from paddle boarding to surfing, and from beach volleyball to swimming and water skiing. One of the main things that you have to really pay attention to when you’re out on the beach all day is the power of the sun. We totally understand that you’re hoping for a warm summer and that you want to make the most of those rays of sunshine, but it’s also important to protect your skin well. Because there’s nothing more annoying than being sunburnt and having to stay out of the sun! And on top of that, it’s really very bad for your skin. Luckily, the rash guards in our women’s collection offer the ideal solution! This rash guard has a UV protection factor of 50, so you can enjoy your active day in the sun without getting burnt. It’s not a coincidence that these shirts are also called UV shirts. These rash guards also dry quickly, so you can also wear them when you head to the bar for a refreshing drink, for example. Different types of rash guards
At Protest you’ll find two types of rash guards: short-sleeved rash guards and long-sleeved rash guards. A long-sleeved rash guard is perfect if you want to minimize the risk of burning. In addition to long-sleeved rash guards, you’ll also find short-sleeved rash guards that offer optimal freedom of movement. Each type of rash guard is also available with different types of prints – so no one will miss you this summer! The one thing all our women’s rash guards have in common? UPF50 protection, which protects those parts of the body covered by the UV shirt from the sun.
PFC-free rash guards
From 2020, all our women’s swimwear will be PFC-free. PFC what? PFC-free! PFC stands for per- and poly-fluorinated chemicals. PFC chemicals are man-made chemicals that do not occur naturally in our environment, making them non-biodegradable. PFC is primarily used to make garments water-repellent. Fortunately, we have found a suitable replacement for PFC so we no longer have to use it for our bikinis. Green up!
Rash guards in different sizes
Once you’ve finally found your new rash guard, all you have to do is make sure you choose the right size. Our rash guards are available in sizes XS through to XXL, so there’s plenty of choice. But how do you choose the right size? The best way to do that is to use our size chart. All you need to do is measure your chest, waist, and hips and check those measurements against the sizes on our size chart – and there you have it!
