As soon as the temperature starts to drop, the excitement starts to build... Many snowboarders can almost hear the mountains calling their name. Are you heading for the mountains again this year for your annual winter sports holiday, and has your snowboard outfit seen better days? Then make sure you swing by the Protest online shop! Here you will find all the items you need to complete your snowboard outfit – from snowboard trousers to snowboard jackets and everything in between. Buying a new skiing holiday outfit has never been this easy and fun!

Is there a difference between snowboards trousers and ski trousers?

At Protest, you will find both snowboard trousers and ski trousers. In the early days of snowboarding, there was definitely a difference between snowboard trousers and ski trousers. For example, snowboard trousers often had a little extra fabric on the bum to offer extra protection from all that falling and sitting in the snow. And ski trousers had extra fabric around the ankles, for extra protection when buckling and unbuckling ski boots. These days, the quality of our fabrics is so good that, fortunately, this is no longer necessary. Which means that you can wear snowboard trousers to go skiing, and vice versa. Perfect if you want to switch from snowboarding to skiing halfway through your holiday!

What types of snowboard trousers are there?

We have different types of snowboard trousers in our collection. One of the main differences is the fit: normal and slim fit. The slim fit is particularly suitable for recreational boarders, and the normal fit is designed for those who like to spend most of their time in the snow parks and off-piste. And you'll also find both normal and softshell snowboard trousers in our collection. Softshell is an elastic, soft fabric. Softshell snowboard trousers consist of three different layers and are therefore windproof, waterproof, and warm. Here at Protest we also have snowboard trousers with different K factors: 10K snowboard trousers and 20K snowboard trousers. The higher the K factor, the more waterproof and breathable the fabric. 10K snowboard trousers are more than suitable for the average snowboarder, while 20K snowboard trousers are ideal for boarders who are constantly up to their knees in powder snow. The choice is yours!

The advantages of Protest snowboard trousers

Protest snowboard trousers are of a high quality and look great. Every year, our designers go in search of the latest snowboard trends, so that every new collection is in line with the latest winter sports fashion. But that’s not all! Because what's the use of a pair of trendy snowboard trousers if they're worn out after a few sessions on the slopes? That's why we spend a lot of time perfecting the fabrics, seams, and zips. So you can have extra fun with your new snowboard trousers!

Choosing the right size

Snowboarders come in all shapes and sizes, and so do our snowboard trousers. You can shop online for stylish snow clothes in size XS/34 to XXL/44. In general, you should buy snowboard trousers in the same size as you would normal trousers or jeans. In other words, you don't have to buy a larger size to accommodate thermal pants; we took this into account when designing our snowboard trousers. If you're not sure which size to choose, use our size chart or contact us by chat or e-mail.

Snowboard trousers SALE

At the end of each winter season, all of our women's snowboard trousers go on sale. The sale doesn't include items from the new collection, but you can find trousers from previous collections for a great price. This is perfect for first-time snowboarders who don't want to spend a ton of money on a new snowboard outfit before they know whether the sport is for them. It's also great for experienced boarders looking for an affordable pair of snowboard trousers!

Complete your snowboard outfit

You'll need more than a good pair of snowboard trousers if you plan to hit the slopes. Put together your own Protest snowboard outfit with a matching snowboard jacket, a few mid layers, fleeces and some new thermal trousers and thermal tops. Add the finishing touch with matching gloves or mittens, a beanie, suspenders, and warm snowboard socks. Need some style advice? Or do you have questions? Then get in touch with our Customer Service Team. We'd be happy to help!
