Guidelines and conditions Protest FUN(D)

These guidelines and conditions apply to applying for a financial contribution through the Protest FUN(D). Please refer to the website for the operation of the Protest FUN(D).

About Protest FUN(D)
The Protest FUN(D), part of Dekker Olifanta B.V. Protest Sportswear, has the mission ‘to help everyone ride more’. The Protest FUN(D) awards financial donations to non-profit organisations in Europe. Protest FUN(D) makes a financial contribution when Protest supports the initiative.
Protest FUN(D) never provides a contribution afterwards, and completed projects are not eligible for a donation.

Who is the Protest FUN(D) for?
Non-profit organisations; non-government organisations that want to achieve a particular social, societal or scientific goal. Non-profits are organisations without profit as their goal.

Checklist application Protest FUN(D)
Using this checklist, you can see if your project or organisation is eligible for a donation from the Protest FUN(D).
- Objectives: The project, initiative or organisation must have clearly defined objectives that fit within the mission of the organisation providing the donations. It is important that the project matches the values of the donating organisation.
- The donation benefits 100% to the non-profit's project or initiative.

Protest FUN(D) does not accept requests for substantive, financial and procedural reasons:
- Projects that have already been realised at the time of assessment.
- Projects with a political, religious or predominantly social purpose;
- Initiatives for which Protest FUN(D) would have to bear all costs;
- Projects with no substantial deficit (judging from budget and coverage plan);
- Individual needs (such as birthday parties, gifts, clothing, sports lessons, etc.).

When can you submit a non-profit application?
Each quarter, a donation of €5,000 will be made to a non-profit. We aim to provide feedback on all applications within 30 days of the closing date and announce which non-profit will receive our support. It is possible to submit your application via the digital application form throughout the year. Applications received via any other means will not be considered.

Closing dates; 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December.

Assessment criteria
Using this checklist, you can see if you are eligible for a donation from the Protest FUN(D);
- The non-profit focuses on one of the sports where Protest is active.
- The non-profit has a recognised seal of approval for charities and is non-profit.
- The project does not involve initiatives that are illegal and do not comply with the legal regulations of the Netherlands or the exporting country.
- The donation will benefit the non-profit 100%.
- The non-profit has not received a donation from the Protest FUN(D) in the past two years.

The procedure for non-profits is as follows;
1.    Receipt of the application is confirmed in writing
2.    Four donation moments in the year. After the deadline, applications are considered, discussed and a choice is made.
3.    Decision on supporting the initiative takes no more than 30 days.
4.    The decision will be notified in writing but by telephone.

The following applies to all applications;
- A decision on the initiative is always up to the committee of the Protest FUN(D)
- A rejected decision cannot be appealed
- The reason for rejection will be communicated.

What if my application is rejected?
If the committee decides not to award a donation, you will be notified in writing within two weeks. We may reject your application in advance because it does not meet our conditions.
